Mirage, Presage and Shore by Amaury Marloe LAGRANGE
As a child, I carved faces and cars in sticks of chalk
On weekends, I carved busts out of aerated concrete.
In the summer, I modeled in the sand and created plasticine figures.
I have always been writing, drawing, singing, dancing and acting.
The rest of the time, I daydream, I tinker and I enrich my inner world
Since 2019, I have exposed my questions, contradictions and emotions.
The linocut brings me one day to the monotype. The moment when the course ends, the cleaning of the tools, the spatula which scrapes the ink on the glass, the white spirit - white spirit - which flows and dilutes the ink, the roller which spreads, spreads the whole. Then the sheet deposited, removed and left to dry. These gestures undertaken mechanically take on meaning when I detect landscapes on paper.
My artistic gesture is then the framing.
